OREGON MEDICAL BOARD JOINS GROWING STATE MEDICAL BOARDS COLLABORATION
We’re delighted to announce that the Oregon Medical Board (OMB) has joined our collaboration with state medical boards, a collaboration that also includes the boards in California, Maine, and North Carolina. With the launch of the new, improved Joint Accreditation Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) later this year, jointly accredited providers whose learners include physicians will have the opportunity to report data in JA-PARS about physicians licensed in Oregon, as well as any other state, who have completed their CME activities.
The OMB and the other medical boards participating in the collaboration will have the ability to view this data to more readily determine that physicians who are requesting license renewal have fulfilled state expectations for CME participation. This will greatly streamline the process for physicians, who will not have to report that data themselves. This service, which is offered free of charge to the state medical boards, accredited providers, and licensees, will be available to all state medical boards with the launch of the new JA-PARS later this year. Learn more about the OMB collaboration here and the new JA-PARS here.
