Committed To: Promoting Credible, Independent IPCE

Download the Toolkit

Across health care, trust in science and evidence is being tested. In a landscape where misinformation can spread quickly, accredited interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) plays an essential role in supporting the healthcare team with education that is credible, independent, and designed to improve care.

To help make these values more visible—and to reinforce what jointly accredited providers stand for—Joint Accreditation is sharing the Committed To campaign. The campaign is a simple way to name and communicate the commitments that define accredited education and strengthen confidence in team-based learning.

What does it mean to be “Committed To”?
These commitments reflect the principles that guide high-quality accredited IPCE/CE, including:

  • Accredited IPCE and accountability to standards
  • Independence from commercial influence
  • Content validity grounded in evidence and accepted standards of care
  • Evidence-based education that keeps pace with evolving science
  • Improving patient care through education that supports better outcomes
  • Science as the foundation for trustworthy decisions in health care

How to participate

  • Choose your commitment and share it using the campaign graphics (or create your own).
  • Share the “why”—what your organization does to uphold standards such as independence and content validity.
  • Show the work behind trustworthy education (e.g., needs assessment, evidence review, mitigation of relevant financial relationships, outcomes measurement, continuous improvement).
  • Use a consistent tag so the community can amplify one another’s messages. #AccreditedIPCEdelivers  #Committed
