MORE UPDATES ABOUT NEW JA-PARS

We’re pleased to share that the JA-PARS webpage is now available, which offers a preview of the new, improved Joint Accreditation Program and Activity Reporting System (JA-PARS) scheduled to launch in summer 2021.€¯The webpage will include key features and screenshots, and will be updated regularly.

The new JA-PARS will remove the following fields:

  • Reporting Year: When entering multiyear activities, you will only need to enter them once rather than for each reporting year.
  • Hours of instruction: You’ll no longer need to enter hours of instruction.
  • In-kind commercial support: You’ll no longer need to identify the type of in-kind commercial support you received.

The new JA-PARS will also offer:

  • The ability to identify interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) activities, as well as any of the credit types included in Joint Accreditation.
  • Simplified data entry for repeated activities: If you offer activities with the same content more than once, you will no longer need to enter the same data multiple times. You can enter the activity once, specifying date, and location for each instance, and JA-PARS will automatically create individual activity entries.€¯

NEW JOINT ACCREDITATION LEADERSHIP SUMMIT REPORT EXPLORES TRANSFORMATIVE VALUE OF IPCE

We’re excited to bring you a new report, The Transformative Value of IPCE, which captures highlights from the 2020 Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education Leadership Summit. Held virtually for the first time, the Summit brought together more than 250 interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) professionals, representing more than 100 organizations, to explore the role of IPCE in creating a collaborative learning culture for healthcare teams.

Despite our physical distance, we engaged in interactive activities to build and sustain connections. During a time of unprecedented stress, the Summit was instrumental in strengthening our thriving community of practice for IPCE professionals. We thank the speakers and participants for contributing their expertise, best practices, and lessons learned to the Summit. Please feel free to download and share this report with your colleagues, leadership, and stakeholders.
