When reporting Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS) in JA-PARS, each series should be reported as one activity. If the activity offers pharmacy credit, enter the number of credits offered at a single session in the pharmacy credit box, and for all other credits, enter the total credits offered over the series. Enter the live dates for each session that offers pharmacy credit. Each learner is counted for each session he/she attends in the series.
For example: Grand Rounds is planned for the entire year as one series for nurses, pharmacists, and physicians. They meet weekly during the year for one hour each week. In JA-PARS, the series should be entered as one activity with 1 pharmacy credit, 52 AMA PRA Category 1 credits, 52 Nursing credits, and 52 different live dates that correspond to each session. Also, if 20 nurses and 10 physicians participated in each session, the nursing learners would be 1,040 (20 learners/session x 52 sessions) and physician learners would be 520 for that single activity.
