HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR YEAR-END REPORTING IN JA-PARS

As a reminder, by March 31, 2022, your organization is required to submit data about your 2021 CE activities and overall CE program in the Joint Accreditation Program and Activity Reporting System (JA-PARS). The process for year-end reporting has been simplified with the removal of the field for reporting year. To fulfill your year-end reporting responsibility, there are five steps to complete:

  1. Accept the terms for the Joint Accreditation annual agreement, located on the dashboard in JA-PARS under Agreement Page. Each year, all jointly accredited providers are asked to accept the annual agreement regarding data submission and compliance with JA policies and procedures.
  2. Enter all activities that occurred in 2021 and close any that are no longer being offered.
  3. For any enduring materials that are continuing into 2022, update the total learner counts as of December 31, 2021. Note that you no longer need to enter enduring material activities for each year they are provided. Enduring materials should remain open until the end date. Once you have entered the enduring material once, you will only need to update learner counts each year thereafter.
  4. Complete and submit your program summary. The link to the program summary is located on the dashboard in JA-PARS.
  5. Review and update your contact information. You can do this by clicking Back to Accreditation Management in the top right section of the JA-PARS dashboard.

Completion of these steps will fulfill your year-end reporting requirement.

Learner Counts for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians

There is a known issue regarding the import of learner counts for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in JA-PARS.  We are working directly with ACPE to import the 2021 learner counts from CPE Monitor to JA-PARS. Once that is complete, you will also be able to edit those counts, if needed, prior to closing your activities. We anticipate this import will occur by February 23, 2022.
