Advancing IPCE at the Joint Accreditation Leadership Summit

July 18, 2022

Each fall, our dynamic community of continuing education (CE) professionals join together to explore the transformative value of interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) at the Joint Accreditation Leadership Summit. Throughout the two-day event, attendees will engage in enriching discussion with their colleagues and healthcare leaders on best practices in IPCE, implementing the Standards for Integrity and Independence, innovative strategies to engage learners, ways to incorporate principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in IPCE, achieving Joint Accreditation with Commendation, and the future of IPCE. Jointly accredited providers and those in the process of applying for Joint Accreditation (with an approved pre-application) are encouraged to attend.

There is always something new to learn from colleagues and peer institutions, whether you are beginning the Joint Accreditation process or have been jointly accredited for a few years. There are so many success stories and ways to continually to improve Joint Accreditation.”

“By attending the Joint Accreditation Leadership Summit, we’ve learned that diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) are critical and imperative components of IPCE. It is our responsibility as educators of healthcare providers to incorporate DEI training into our courses. The onus is on us to investigate, understand, and respond to disparities. My team and I look forward to attending the 2022 Leadership Summit to learn more about healthcare priorities that should be addressed in IPCE programs.”
